FAQ's about Insurance and Fees
Are you in-network with my insurance company? I am not in-network with any insurance companies. If you would like to find someone in your insurance network, I recommend contacting your insurance company directly for a list of local therapists they contract with.
If I have a PPO Insurance plan, can I work with you and use my insurance? If you would like to use your insurance and you have a PPO plan, I am happy to provide a superbill that you can then submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
What if I don't want to deal with a superbill but I want to use my PPO? If the idea of submitting a superbill feels like too much of a hassle to you, I can put you in contact with an insurance biller who will handle it for you. After you sign a release, April Schmidt at Advanced Billing Services will access the billing portion of your file and get your insurance company to reimburse you for services so that you don't have to do anything at all (please note, she does charge a small fee for this service).
What if I don't want a mental health diagnosis in my insurance file and I want to use my insurance? Please understand that if you do use insurance, I will have to provide a diagnosis code to your insurance company in order for them to cover services.
How much will my insurance reimburse me?
You will need to contact them directly to find this out. I recommend asking them the following questions to determine what they will reimburse you:
1. What percentage do you cover for outpatient psychotherapy with out-of-network therapists?
2. Do I have to meet my deductible before you reimburse and if so, what is my deductible and how much of it have I met so far this year? When does my deductible reset?
What is your fee?
My fee for a 50 minute session is $175. This same fee applies for all services.
